The leader of the Civic Coalition, Elisa Carrió, emphasized the importance of her party in the fight against corruption in Argentina, highlighting its track record and commitment in this area. In a meeting with residents of Buenos Aires City, Carrió, along with Paula Oliveto and Fernando Sánchez, candidates for legislators from the Civic Coalition-ARI, discussed the national situation and the party's proposals for the capital.
During the meeting, topics such as the defense of institutions, legislative oversight, and the importance of choosing deputies committed to the interests of Buenos Aires in the elections on May 18 were addressed. Carrió expressed her concern for the future of the Buenos Aires Legislature, warning about the possibility of it becoming "a trading market" in the absence of legislators from her party.
Carrió urged residents to vote for the Civic Coalition in the upcoming elections, highlighting the need to ensure republican oversight in the Legislature and to have representatives capable of legislating effectively and responsibly managing public funds. In this regard, the party leader stressed the importance of the current election in shaping the legislative space.
In this context, Carrió stated: "This election cannot be a springboard to negotiate better in October. It is now that it will be defined whether the Legislature will be a space of republican oversight or a trade bag." Legislative candidate Paula Oliveto also participated in the meeting and reaffirmed the party's commitment to transparency and the defense of the interests of Buenos Aires City.
